For I am Always You

This audiovisual publication explores the fading of childhood and the grief of losing one’s past self. The project was inspired by my earlier audiovisual installation, Fear of Forgetting You. As we grow older, we often try to hold on to the younger version of ourselves, but that grip gradually slips away, leaving only vague, blurred, and colourful memories.

The publication features my loved ones and captures this nostalgic feeling through a combination of poetry, paper, and an audiovisual narrative. The story can be experienced while reading the publication or moving through a space.

The work was presented for a weekend at STAAL Fietsen in Amersfoort alongside 13 other artists.
