𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘈𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘠𝘰𝘶 is an installation that stems from a personal quest to rediscover the openness and wonder of my childhood as an adult. The work poses questions such as: what does it mean to be a child again as an adult, in attitude, experience and sensitivity? What remains of the earlier version of yourself, and how can you encounter it again?
The project consists of three video performances, each of which approaches, depicts and embodies childhood in its own way. Through movement, sound and poetry, the distance between then and now is made tangible: between the child I once was and the adult I am now. The work explores the loss and longing for childhood, but at the same time emphasises that it does not disappear completely. It shifts, changes form and demands a different way of looking and paying attention.
Personal memories give rise to a broader, collective layer of nostalgia. The project shows a process of trial and error, of hope and loss, of struggle and rediscovery. It is an invitation to reflect: to pause and consider what has been and what can be brought back to life, and to give yourself, just like back then, room for wonder again.
